3) Where can I find Live Charts / Candlestick Charts for the AEX Market?
Spread betting companies often offer a variety of free data to their clients (accounts are subject to status, terms and conditions).
The most popular Indices data, apart from live prices, tends to be the candlestick charts. The time period of the charts can usually be varied. You can often alter the candlestick charts to show market movements in the order of 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10minutes, 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week periods.

4) How do you Spread Bet on the AEX Market to Go Up?
AEX Financial Spread Betting Example
Should you decide to spread bet on an index such as the AEX then, looking at a spread trading website like Financial Spread, at the moment you would see a spread trading price of 317.4 - 318.4.
That means you could spread bet on the AEX to move higher than 318.4 or to move lower than 317.4.
When making a spread bet, investors bet on every unit the market moves up or down; specifically, for the AEX market a unit is 0.1 points of the index's price movement.
For instance, you might choose to trade £3 for every 0.1 points the AEX increases or decreases.
Buying - Spread Betting on the Market to Increase
If you were to go long of the AEX at 318.4 and the index went up then the spread could become 321.4 - 322.4. In that case, you might choose to close your spread bet for a profit at 321.4.
Your P&L = (final value of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per 0.1 points
Your P&L = (321.4 - 318.4) x £3 per 0.1 points stake
Your P&L = 3.0 points x £3 per 0.1 points
Your P&L = £90 profit
Markets can also fall, if the market were to drop to 315.5 - 316.5, you might want to close your trade to restrict your losses. Therefore, you would sell your trade at 315.5.
So, with the same £3 per 0.1 points stake:
Your P&L = (final value of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per 0.1 points
Your P&L = (315.5 - 318.4) x £3 per 0.1 points stake
Your P&L = -2.9 points x £3 per 0.1 points
Your P&L = -£87 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the AEX Market to Go Down?
A key benefit of placing a spread trade is that you can sell the markets.
The initial spread was 317.4 - 318.4.
If you were to go short of the AEX at 317.4 and the index fell then the market might be re-priced at 313.7 - 314.7. Assuming this was the case, you could close your bet for a profit, if so you would buy at 314.7.
Your P&L = (opening price of the market - final value of the market) x stake per 0.1 points
Your P&L = (317.4 - 314.7) x £3 per 0.1 points stake
Your P&L = 2.7 points x £3 per 0.1 points
Your P&L = £81 profit
The markets can of course rise, if the market increased to, as an example, 319.0 - 320.0, you might decide to close your bet to limit your losses. If that happened, you would buy your spread bet at 320.0.
Therefore, with the same £3 per 0.1 points stake:
Your P&L = (opening price of the market - final value of the market) x stake per 0.1 points
Your P&L = (317.4 - 320.0) x £3 per 0.1 points stake
Your P&L = -2.6 points x £3 per 0.1 points
Your P&L = -£78 loss
