3) Where can I find Live Charts / Candlestick Charts for the Alfa Market?
Spread betting companies often offer a variety of free data to their clients (accounts are subject to status, terms and conditions).
The most popular Swedish Shares data, apart from live prices, tends to be the candlestick charts. The time period of the charts can usually be varied. You can often alter the candlestick charts to show market movements in the order of 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10minutes, 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week periods.

4) How do you Spread Bet on the Alfa Market to Go Up?

If you are going to spread bet on Swedish shares such as Alfa then, looking at a spread betting company's website like Financial Spreads, at the moment you would see a spread betting price of 118.3 SEK - 119.0 SEK.
This means you can bet on Alfa shares to increase higher than 119.0 SEK or to decrease lower than 118.3 SEK.
When you spread bet, you trade on every unit the market rises or falls; for the Alfa market a unit is 1 Swedish Krona of the share's price movement.
So, you could decide to bet £15 for every Krona that the Alfa share price goes up or down.
Buying - Spread Betting on the Market to Increase
If you were to go long of Alfa at 119.0 SEK and the shares went up then the spread could move to 126.1 SEK - 126.8 SEK. If that happened, you could close your trade for a profit, if so you would sell at 126.1 SEK.
Profit/Loss = (final price of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per Krona
Profit/Loss = (126.1 SEK - 119.0 SEK) x £15 per Krona stake
Profit/Loss = 7.1 SEK x £15 per Krona
Profit/Loss = £106.50 profit
Financial markets also move down, if the market had decreased to, for example, 112.5 SEK - 113.2 SEK, you may want to close your trade to prevent further losses. If that were to happen, you would sell the market at 112.5 SEK.
With the same £15 per Krona stake:
Profit/Loss = (final price of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per Krona
Profit/Loss = (112.5 SEK - 119.0 SEK) x £15 per Krona stake
Profit/Loss = -6.5 SEK x £15 per Krona
Profit/Loss = -£97.50 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the Alfa Market to Go Down?
A key advantage of spread trading is that you can sell the markets.
When we began this example, the market was 118.3 SEK - 119.0 SEK.
If you were to go short of Alfa at 118.3 SEK and the shares fell then you might see the spread move to 109.4 SEK - 110.1 SEK. In that case, you might choose to close your spread bet for a profit at 110.1 SEK.
Profit/Loss = (opening price of the market - final price of the market) x stake per Krona
Profit/Loss = (118.3 SEK - 110.1 SEK) x £15 per Krona stake
Profit/Loss = 8.2 SEK x £15 per Krona
Profit/Loss = £123.00 profit
The markets can of course rise, if the market had moved up to, for example, 125.1 SEK - 125.8 SEK, you might decide to close your spread bet to limit your losses. If this were the case, you would buy your spread bet at 125.8 SEK.
So, with the same £15 per Krona stake:
Profit/Loss = (opening price of the market - final price of the market) x stake per Krona
Profit/Loss = (118.3 SEK - 125.8 SEK) x £15 per Krona stake
Profit/Loss = -7.5 SEK x £15 per Krona
Profit/Loss = -£112.50 loss
