Should you decide to spread bet on South African shares such as Anglo Platinum then, looking at a spread trading site like Financial Spreads, you would currently find a spread trading price of 70,208c - 70,544c.
Therefore, you could spread bet on Anglo Platinum shares to move above 70,544c or below 70,208c.
When making a spread bet, you bet on every unit the market goes up or down; specifically, for the Anglo Platinum market a unit is 1 South African cent of the share's price movement.
Accordingly, you might decide to trade £1 for every cent that the Anglo Platinum share price rises or falls.
Buying - Spread Betting on the Market to Increase

P&L = -370c x £1 per cent
P&L = -£370 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the Anglo Platinum Market to Go Down?
One benefit of placing a spread bet is that you can go short of the markets.
