4) How do you Spread Bet on the Kingspan Market to Go Up?
Kingspan Group Financial Spread Trading Example
If you decide to spread trade on Irish shares such as Kingspan Group then, on visiting a spread betting site like Financial Spreads, you would currently see a spread trading price of €6.12 - €6.27.
Therefore, you could bet on Kingspan Group shares to increase higher than €6.27 or to decrease lower than €6.12.
When online spread betting, investors bet on every unit the market increases or decreases. For the Kingspan Group market a unit is €0.01 of the share's price movement.
As an example, you could decide to trade £5 for every cent that the Kingspan Group share price goes up or down.
Buying - Spread Betting on the Market to Rise

On the other hand, if the market decreased to, for example, €6.02 - €6.17, you could choose to close your spread bet to limit your losses. In that case, you would sell back at €6.02.
Therefore, with the same £5 per cent stake:
Profit/Loss = (closing value of the market - initial value of the market) x stake per cent
Profit/Loss = (€6.02 - €6.27) x £5 per cent stake
Profit/Loss = -€0.25 x £5 per cent
Profit/Loss = -£125 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the Kingspan Market to Go Down?
A key advantage of using a spread bet is that investors can sell the markets.
At the beginning of this example, the market was €6.12 - €6.27.
If you were to go short of Kingspan Group at €6.12 and the shares decreased then the spread could change to €5.74 - €5.89. If so, you might decide to close your spread bet for a profit at €5.89.

Profit/Loss = (€6.12 - €6.34) x £5 per cent stake
Profit/Loss = -€0.22 x £5 per cent
Profit/Loss = -£110 loss
