4) How do you Spread Bet on the Norden Market to Go Up?
Norden Spread Trading Example
If you are going to spread bet on Danish shares like Norden then, on visiting a spread trading site like Capital Spreads, you would currently find a spread betting price of 207.7 DKK - 208.6 DKK.
That means you could spread trade on Norden shares to move higher than 208.6 DKK or to move lower than 207.7 DKK.
With spread trading, you bet on every unit the market rises or falls; specifically, for the Norden market a unit is 1 Danish Krone of the share's price movement.
For example, you might decide to bet £10 for every Krone that the Norden share price goes up or down.
Betting on the Market to Go Up

However, if the market decreased to, for example, 201.3 DKK - 202.2 DKK, you may want to close your trade to limit your losses. If that were to happen, you would sell your spread bet at 201.3 DKK.
You would do this with the same £10 per Krone stake:
Profits (or Losses) = (closing price of the market - initial price of the market) x stake per Krone
Profits (or Losses) = (201.3 DKK - 208.6 DKK) x £10 per Krone stake
Profits (or Losses) = -7.3 DKK x £10 per Krone
Profits (or Losses) = -£73.00 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the Norden Market to Go Down?
An advantage of spread trading is that investors can short the markets.
At the beginning of this example, the market was priced at 207.7 DKK - 208.6 DKK.
If you were to sell Norden at 207.7 DKK and the shares fell then the spread could become 198.9 DKK - 199.8 DKK. If this were the case, you might choose to close your bet for a profit at 199.8 DKK.
Profits (or Losses) = (initial price of the market - closing price of the market) x stake per Krone
Profits (or Losses) = (207.7 DKK - 199.8 DKK) x £10 per Krone stake

The markets can of course rise, if the market were to rise to 213.7 DKK - 214.6 DKK, you could choose to close your trade to restrict your losses. In that case, you would buy at 214.6 DKK.
You would close your bet with the same £10 per Krone stake:
Profits (or Losses) = (initial price of the market - closing price of the market) x stake per Krone
Profits (or Losses) = (207.7 DKK - 214.6 DKK) x £10 per Krone stake
Profits (or Losses) = -6.9 DKK x £10 per Krone
Profits (or Losses) = -£69.00 loss
