Paddypowertrader develops CFD Trading in response to client demand.
Ireland’s largest bookmaker has launched Contracts For Difference (CFD) trading, where clients can now access the CFD Platform and Spread Betting Platform from just one account and the same wallet. Paddy Power trader, the financial spread betting arm of Paddy Power now offers CFD trading to Financial Spread Betting clients.
“We have received a demand for this product from our existing customers and we perceive there is a greater desire for this product on a global scale.
We see that more and more people are looking for sophisticated financial trading products like CFD’s and Financial Spread Betting in the retail space than ever before,” said Davin McAnaney.
“The best thing about our new platform is the fact that you can switch between our spread betting platform and our CFD platform with just one click of your mouse. We have a very easy to use platform already so you can get started trading quickly.
Throw in some of the tightest spreads in the business (eg 1 point FTSE) and low margin requirements and you have a pretty exciting offering, Continued McAnaney.
To celebrate the launch Paddy Power Trader is offering seminars on CFD Trading and Financial Spread Betting. Paddy Power Trader currently offers trading CFD trading and spread betting seminars and Webinars on an ongoing basis. They are monthly in Dublin and London and will be happening in Limerick, Cork, Galway and Belfast too in the next few weeks.
The market has grown substantially in the last few years. "These were fairly niche products in the late 1990s, but they're much more mainstream now; we are seeing a demand for more and more financial products for novice and more professional traders. This is why we are offering CFDs as well as Financial Spread Betting at Paddypowertrader," says Davin McAnaney, Commerical Manager.
“Simply put, it is demand that has seen us enter the CFD market. Our customers were looking for the ability to trade CFDs with us, so we went one better and offered them the ability to trade CFDs using their existing accounts. We also see CFD Trading as a product that has a truly global demand,” he continued.
“Researching and informing yourself on the market conditions through blogging, tweeting or online tutorials seems to be among the most popular ways of growing profits in both CFD trading and financial spread betting. This drive towards more education has helped us to develop tools. We are keen to help clients and those interested in financial spread betting to get better results,” McAnaney continued.
paddypowertrader launched in the summer of 2007 enabling clients to take advantage of the many benefits of financial spread betting, including being a tax–free alternative to trading shares and financial markets. The product continues to grow in popularity in the UK and Ireland, amongst not only financial industry professionals, but also amongst those with an interest in the stock market. In October 2010 paddypowertrader launched CFD Trading in addition to the financial spread betting platform.
