Should you decide to spread bet on Swedish shares like SKF then, on visiting a spread trading website like Capital Spreads, at the moment you would find a spread trading price of 151.8 SEK - 152.5 SEK.
As a result, you can spread bet on SKF shares to move above 152.5 SEK or below 151.8 SEK.
When spread betting, you trade on every unit the market moves up or down; in the case of the SKF market a unit is 1 Swedish Krona of the share's price movement.
Accordingly, you could choose to spread bet £10 for every Krona that the SKF share price goes up or down.
Betting on the Market to Go Up
If you were to go long of SKF at 152.5 SEK and the shares went up then you might see the spread move to 161.7 SEK - 162.4 SEK. Therefore, you might decide to take your profits by closing your spread trade at 161.7 SEK.

Financial markets also move down, if the market dropped to, as an example, 144.1 SEK - 144.8 SEK, you may want to close your spread bet to limit your losses. If that happened, you would sell at 144.1 SEK.
With the same £10 per Krona stake:
Your P&L = (final price of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per Krona
Your P&L = (144.1 SEK - 152.5 SEK) x £10 per Krona stake
Your P&L = -8.4 SEK x £10 per Krona
Your P&L = -£84.00 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the SKF Market to Go Down?
One advantage of placing a spread bet is that you can short the markets.
At the beginning of this example, the market was priced at 151.8 SEK - 152.5 SEK.
If you were to go short of SKF at 151.8 SEK and the shares went down then the spread might change to 140.6 SEK - 141.3 SEK. If so, you could decide to take your profits by closing your spread trade at 141.3 SEK.

Your P&L = (opening price of the market - final price of the market) x stake per Krona
Your P&L = (151.8 SEK - 161.4 SEK) x £10 per Krona stake
Your P&L = -9.6 SEK x £10 per Krona
