On the other hand, if the market had decreased to, as an example, 70.7 SEK - 70.9 SEK, you might want to close your bet to restrict your losses. If this were the case, you would sell your spread bet at 70.7 SEK.
So, with the same £20 per Krona stake:
Your P&L = (final level of the market - initial level of the market) x stake per Krona
Your P&L = (70.7 SEK - 74.8 SEK) x £20 per Krona stake
Your P&L = -4.1 SEK x £20 per Krona
Your P&L = -£82.00 loss
Spread Betting on the Swedish Shares to Go Down
One major advantage of shares spread betting is that you can go short of the markets.
The initial spread betting price was 74.6 SEK - 74.8 SEK.
If you were to go short of Nordea Bank at 74.6 SEK and the shares went down then the market might be re-priced at 70.9 SEK - 71.1 SEK. Assuming this was the case, you might choose to close your trade for a profit by buying at 71.1 SEK.

Your P&L = (initial level of the market - final level of the market) x stake per Krona
Your P&L = (74.6 SEK - 78.5 SEK) x £20 per Krona stake
Your P&L = -3.9 SEK x £20 per Krona
Your P&L = -£78.00 loss
